Clubhouse

The clubhouse is an audio-based social media app that was founded in 2020 by Paul Davison and Rohan Seth. The company describes itself as a "new type of social project based on voice" where "people everywhere (can) talk, tell stories, develop ideas, deepen friendships and meet interesting new people." It is an interactive, voice-based platform where users can join real-time discussions in designated rooms. When a user enters a room, the audio automatically turns on. The creator of a room decides who can speak, and interested users can raise their hands to join the discussion. Users can join and leave the call at any time and participate in many different conversations on various topics. Anyone can download the app for free, either on their iPhone or Android.
